But, as indexing doesn't work in LDAP globally, searching in LDAP 
(which you need for looking up names) doesn't work. This means that 
searching for information doesn't work regardless of whether you use 
LDAP or DNS.

So I don't agree that some things that doesn't work in DNS work in 
LDAP. Some thing (like finding information given the name of a 
person) doesn't work in either of the protocols.

That is my point.
