I am not a fan of WG living forever.
I think a WG in search of recharter after so long is a WG which needs to
be considered a strong candidate for closure, especially if docs in
review are now not there.
If there is a need for a DNS wg, it should come in "at the top".
I think this for two reasons:
firstly, its better for IETF process its done this way.
secondly, it will allow for a better charter/focus to emerge.
so you can add me +1 on the closure side.
